INFORMATION ABOUT THE SETTING
Etwall Village Pre-School uses facilities available in the Community Hall sited centrally in the village which lies SW of Derby.  The maximum number of children allowed is 26 and children are not admitted without carers, until they are 3 years old.  Sessions are offered 5 mornings (9.15 – 11.45) and 1 afternoon (1.15 – 2.45).  Wednesday morning is a rising 5s session and the Thursday afternoon session is for under 3s who can attend with parents/carers.  Funding is available for 3 and 4 year olds.The premises offer a large activity room, kitchen and toilets.  Access and facilities are in place for people with disabilities.  Outdoor play is available.  The staff group of 7 comprises childcare trained and experienced personnel who have also followed first aid and health/hygiene courses.

There is a Parents Committee.

OFSTED INTENDS THAT THE REGISTRATION OF THE PROVIDER WILL CONTINUE SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS
All registered persons must :

  • Display the registration certificate
  • Pay the annual fee
  • Provide OFSTED with any information it seeks in order to establish their suitability and be prepared to have that information verified with the relevant authorities; and
  • Meet the National Standards for Under Eight’s Day Care and Childminding.
THESE CONDITIONS APPLY AT ALL TIMES
Registered to provide sessional day care for twenty six children from 2 years to under 5 years.Registration does not include overnight care.
IN ADDITION THE REGISTERED PERSON HAS AGREED TO TAKE THIS FURTHER ACTION BY THE DATE SHOWN
Develop existing procedures for checking that adults providing day care, looking after children and/or having unsupervised access to them are suitable to do so.
